Awards and Honors

The Order of the Arrow provides opportunities for its members to excel and be recognized for their accomplishments. These recognitions are awarded every year at the Lodge Banquet in January.There are awards and honors which are standard throughout the Order or individual lodges awards. Nacha Nimat Lodge provides the following awards every year to those brothers who deserve them. Eagle Recognition Lodge FlapComplete the following requirments of 1,2,3, and 5. On requirement 4, you may INSTEAD participate in four OA elections(besides your own troop), OR be an active OA Troop Representative.
1.) Must attend four lodge events besides your own ordeal. 2.) Be an active scout and OA member and promote the OA within your troop. 3.) Be a brotherhood member with your current dues paid. 4.) Participate in the OA as a committee member, officer, dance team, or ceremonies team. 5.) Attend at least one NOAC, Arrowcorp5, NLS, or section conclave 
The Black Bear AwardTo maintain their own list of these recipientsAwarded to those whose time, commitment and contributions to the Lodge program need to be recognized by the Lodge. They are selected by the Lodge Key 3. They may be awarded to someone who is not a Nacha Nimat brother. Honor Elangomats AwardCreated to honor and recognize those arrowmen who have given outstanding service to the lodge as Elangomats. The Ned Krogslund-Cheerful Servant Awardrecognizes one Nacha Nimat Brother who best exemplifies the OA concept of "cheerful service" to others. It is selected by the Lodge Key 3 and presented in conjunction with James E. West Award. The Lodge Chief's AwardSelected by the Lodge Chief, this award recognizes one youth member of Nacha Nimat Lodge who best exemplifies the ideals of the Order and whose actions and commitment has contributed to the success of the Lodge. The Lodge Advisor's AwardSelected by the Lodge Advisor, this award recognizes one adult member of Nacha Nimat Lodge who best exemplifies the ideals of the Order and whose actions and commitment has contributed to the success of the Lodge. The Founder's AwardCreated to honor and recognize those Arrowmen who have given outstanding service to the Lodge. The Founder's Award is reservered for an Arrowmen who demonstrates to his fellow Arrowmen that he or she memorializes in his or her everyday life the spirit of achievement as described by founder E. Urner Goodman. Lodges may petition the national Order of the Arrow Committee to present the awards annually, based on lodge membership. It is selected by the Lodge Key 3 and is presented at the Lodge Annual Banquet. |
