Welcome to the Delaware District

The Delaware River District of the Hudson Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America serves over 1,500 youth and 60 troops, crews, and packs in Sullivan and Orange Counties in New York, and Pike County Pennsylvania.  The programs we offer are Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturing, Exploring, and Learning for Life for boys and girls ages 7-21. The District's many units are also aided by the help of Commissioners.  These are "seasoned" scouters who act as a guide, tutor and friend, to Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops, and Venture Crews in the Delaware River District.

District Round Tables

The Delaware River District has a district round table every second Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm.  This round table is made up of dedicated scoutmasters from the Delaware district, as well as business leaders, community leaders, and others.  This meeting is open to all adult leaders and youth scouts who wish to learn more about whats going on in the District and participate in upcoming functions.

District Chapter Meetings

The Delaware Chapter in the Order of the Arrow has a chapter meeting in correlation with the district round tables at 7pm on the second Wednesday of every month at the same location. Chapter meetings consist of social activities and planning sessions for upcoming OA events. Snacks and drinks are served at chapter meetings so come out and join us!

Happy New Year to All,

Scoutmasters ASM and Order of the Arrow members.

Just to let you know about our chapter meeting… January 15, 2010.  Meeting will be at Middletown Bowling Lanes 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday night

This will be the second meeting that is not at roundtable.  The first one was in Port Jervis Bowling Lanes, we had hoped for a larger turn out, but it was better than those held at roundtable.  We had four arrowmen and leaders too.  This was double the norm.  there was an exchange of information, bowling, pizza and fun.

So let’s start the new year off with a bang and get your OA members to come out January 15 for more fellowship, food and fun.

The Delaware River District chapter really needs your support!

For those troops close to Middletown this is your turn to shine, troops such as Troop 52, Troop 68, Troop 273, Troop 02, Troop 37, Troop 41, Troop 01, Troop 05, Troop 69, Troop 92, Troop 50, Troop 58 and Troop 59.

As you can see if only the relatively close troops send only their representative there will be a dozen or more and that would be an outstanding success for the chapter.

Scoutmasters, I need your help to make this happen so again let’s get the word out,

OA CHAPTER MEETING JANUARY 15, 2010!

THANK YOU AGAIN AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL

DELAWARE RIVER CHAPTER CHIEF ROBERT WARF
